That’s why I think they are very different with elements and atmosphere but I do agree with you on the concept art LN 2 would have been way better if they would have added a lot of things from the concept art. You see I think each little nightmares has its on theme and tries to say a message about modern civilization without words while also telling a mysterious story. While Mono and the pale city is a world of controlling others (Like how each boss has their on henchmen such as the bullies for the teacher, the patients for the doctor, and the viewers for the Thinman)or manipulating others for your on gain and pride which is funny because in Mono’s bio it says he is stubborn when it comes to a task which is a sort of pride. If I’m not mistaken I think that what they was going for with LN 2 because, a lot of elements from LN 1 IMO wouldn’t fit in LN2 for example the kids creepy humming it wouldn’t really fit in LN 2 do to the isolation feel they tried to create with The Pale City and Mono’s character do to him being a lonely kid since LN 2 seems to be more about Mono fears and his view of the world rather than Six who view of the world is the Maw which is a place where the powerful consumes the weak and greed of having power with Six’s character starving for power which is greed. Obviously gameplay, graphics and level design are better in ln2 because it came out 3 years later and was built atop the first gameĮdit: this does not mean I dislike ln2, it is still a great game I will say that ln2 has a better ost, however it did carry over a lot of what made the first ost so good. thin man and monster six had more potential but the rest felt underwhelming for me (sorry teacher lovers) ln2 features one and done monsters that all kill you if they see you, unlike the janitor, granny etc. ln1's has interesting monsters with creative mechanics that all appear in more than one chapter (except the granny). ln2 has mystery, but leaned away from exploring it, concept art showed the hospital to be a much more mysterious place, with people hooked up to tv's and massive experiments going on, as well as the signal tower being explained a bit more, not just revealed to be a "god"(ik not the actual term) and then the game ends 5 minutes later ln1 provides a more creepy atmosphere as well as providing a large sense of mystery. ln2 has a story, but places like the school and hospital serve no purpose. ln1 story is linear, every location has a purpose and contributes. Some companies consider the improvement of their ESG standing as an improvement of their ratings by ESG rating agencies. Little nightmares 1 is better imo because As discussed above, the development of an effective ESG program requires a conscious effort that is led by the board and management and transpires to the entire company.
